i have lived in pompey since i was 2 and have been told on lots of times that its the creek that makes portsmouth and island! is this true?
(Yes, it's true. The creek ensures sea water all the way around Portsea Island, 24 hours a day.

the bottom bridge is now the pedestrian bridge crossing the A27
over to perone rd .The top bridge is now the portsbridge roundabout with the lido in the background
