I attended this school until leaving to join the Air Force in 1955. I recall the headmaster was Mr Payne, some teachers I remember are : Mr Syvia, Mrs Harmond, Mr Barber, Mr Williams. The discipline was strict and maybe fort some a little nasty-but...

I attended this school until leaving to join the Air Force in 1955. I recall the headmaster was Mr Payne, some teachers I remember are : Mr Syvia, Mrs Harmond, Mr Barber, Mr Williams. The discipline was strict and maybe fort some a little nasty-but certainly it got results. One good schoolfriend of mine was Terence Page whose grandfather owned a shop opposite selling surgical goods. The dairy mentioned supplied our milk each day.

copnor road school

My grandfather was the caretaker of the Copnor Road school. My father was one of his many children. Am researching family to find any relatives. Dave Pender pls contact.
